FOUNDER MARCIA MURRAY ENJOYS THE TOYBRARY
WITH HER CHILDREN
Will-n-Essie's Toybrary was the vision of a former non-profit executive turned stay-at-home mother who had participated in toy libraries while living overseas in New Zealand and England.

She believed the concept would work well among her friends and neighbors in the close-knit Center City neighborhood of Philadelphia, and in January 2007 launched Will-n-Essie's Toybrary on Rittenhouse Square. Seven months after opening, the Toybrary was named Philadelphia Magazine's "Best of Philly ®" - Toy Source 2007.

The second Will-n-Essie's Toybrary opened in September 2008 in the Washington Park neighborhood of Wenatchee, Washington and is now a positive part of the "Apple Capital".

Both Toybraries represent the generosity and hard work of many individuals and organizations - representing all that is good about play ... and all that is good in our communities.

The Toybrary directors and volunteers look forward to bringing Will-n-Essie's Toybrary to other communities so that more children can reap the benefits of pure, old fashioned, child-directed play - with the best toys available!
